Nagasawa - Fountain Pen Ink - Kobe INK Story - No.16 Nada Brown

Founded in 1882 in Kobe, Japan, Nagasawa is a heritage stationery company known for writing tools and inks that celebrate local culture. 

The Kobe INK Monogatari fountain pen ink line was developed by Nagasawa Bungu Center. Each ink is inspired by a specific place, landmark, or story from Kobe and its surrounding areas. The collection aims to capture the city’s atmosphere through colour, from the shades of the sea and mountains to the tones of historic streets and cultural sites. The series has become one of Japan’s most recognised regional ink collections.

Nada Brown pays homage to Kobe’s Nada district, famous for its sake breweries known as “Nada-Gogo.” The warm brown shade captures the colour of wooden brewery buildings.
